Swing Hammer Fibrizer

Salient features and advantages:

SUDECO Swing Hammer Fibrizer produces a high quantity of open or ruptured cells with long fibre, instead of pulverised dust and short fibre associated with a high PI produced from other designs of cane Fibrizers or Shredders in the market. The long fibre is ideal for efficient feeding of the Milling Tandem with less slippage between rollers, choking and high volume of cush cush in the mixed juice. Resultantly, this feature will promote lower power consumption of the Mills with higher overall extraction due to the high level of open cells in the cane. Moreover, the fibre is more suitable for efficient burning in the Boiler as less dust is apparent in the bagasse.

Long fibre is produced by the twin cutting action of the rotor hammers. The unit is positioned at the headshaft, slightly above the centreline of the conveyor taking fed cane directly on entry, against the flow of cane, and commencing the fiberizing operation, and further enhancing its duty by the action between the hammer and anvil plate which covers a 160 degrees wrap angle of the top cover assembly. This feature is unique as the cane is fed directly to the rotor instead of utilising a feed chute, which restricts feed and has the tendency to choke.

The high PI achieved from our unit will ensure;

Ø      Higher extraction from the combined milling tandem.

Ø      Lower power consumption at mills as less pressure is required to open the juice cells.

Ø      Allows higher extraction at the first mill reducing Pol Extraction load of later mills.

Ø      Improves capacity of the Tandem as large amounts of free juice can be extracted easily at lower power consumption thus the mills can handle more cane.
