Poly-Baffle Entrainment Separator

Salient features and advantages:

Poly-Baffle Entrainment Separator (arrester) comprises of a series of vertically located zig-zag shapes which are die pressed from stainless steel material. Several plates are packed in boxes which are then mounted within the Vapour Belt inside the equipment. The gap between the two zig-zag shaped strips is calculated depending on the duty. During the vapour travel from bottom to top, the flow direction is changed several times as it comes in contact with each zig-zap patterned section of the Separator. During this directional change liquid particles coalesce and ultimately flow upwards towards the periphery of the vapour belt through channels.

A Centrifugal Arrestor is installed if required as a secondary stage entrainment separator. This unit is of multi vane construction and fabricated from stainless steel material.

The design ensures that the collected particles are never allowed to be refluxed and ensures that vapours are free from any entrained particles as they exit the vapour outlet connection.
